Our Journey Through the Years
The Beginning
Ardams Child Care & Protection Institution was founded by Rev. Fr. David Mbau as a mixed day care centre in Maragua Town, focusing on early education and Christian doctrine.
Street Family Rehabilitation
Partnered with the Kenyan government to rehabilitate street families, providing shelter, care, and hope to struggling parents and their children.
Transition to Youth Focus
Shifted focus from playgroups to supporting older children and teenagers in primary and secondary schools from broken families and widowed parents.
Shared-Care Model
Implemented a shared-care model, partnering with families by providing school fees, uniforms, and necessities while empowering parents through skill-based programs.
Empowerment Success
Helped a widowed mother skilled in tailoring establish a fully functional tailoring shop, enabling her to support her children independently.
School Partnerships
Formalized partnerships with multiple public schools in Murang'a County, ensuring seamless integration of sponsored learners.
Inclusive Care Expansion
Expanded care to include children with disabilities (PWDs) and plans to introduce professional mental health and emotional support programs.
